 As the Executive Director of the Bayonne Economic Opportunities Foundation or the BEOF, I can say that our recent Motown Themed Fundraiser was the most successful thus far! For more than a week after the event, our agency received calls and compliments. About a wonderful time that was had by all! Let me start by saying this -- I come from a musical family and have grown up around musicians my whole life. When I went to my high school prom in Philadelphia at which a live funk band played, I remember thinking, "I want a band like this to play at my wedding." Fast forward to nearly 20 years later, when my partner Omar and I decided to get married after 14 years together and two kids, I told people I really just wanted to have a big party and all I cared about was the music. However, when I started researching bands for the big day, I was pretty quickly overwhelmed by how unaccommodating so many of them were, until I found Joe and the team at EPICSOUL. From the start of working with Joe, he thoughtfully and kindly put together a subset of the band that would meet our budget. In the months and weeks that followed, he worked closely with me to put together a stellar set list of many of our favorite tunes. They traveled all the way to DC for our special day and from the moment they went on until the second they stopped playing, our dance floor was jam packed with people screaming and dancing and losing their minds. From soul to motown to top 40 pop hits, EpicSoul can do it all -- Chris the lead singer is a professional and expertly performs a range of classics, Marlowe the guitarist is incredible and Joe keeps the whole band moving through expert drumming. In the days that have followed the event, many of our friends have told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and a true celebration of music and joy. So much of this was due to the inspiring music and energy that EpicSoul brought to the night and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone planning an event large or small. They are the absolute best and you will not regret it.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of having Epic Soul as our wedding band in Long Beach Island. It was by FAR one of the best choices I made. From the start, they were wonderful to work with. The customer care is incredible. Joe was on it, and not once did I feel stressed or concerned. As for the reception - my guests did not stop dancing. The band got our guests dancing away on the dance floor even before the salad was served and it did not stop until the night was over. They are a TRUE entertainment band. Our wedding day would not have been the same without them. Thank you Epic Soul for an EPIC night! 

Joe, seriously thank you so much. It was the best day of my life - and you guys were a big part of the success. Can't wait to see you guys some time soon on stage.

EPICSOUL was our best decision of the entire wedding planning process! They were so incredibly talented and entertaining. They made the night flow so we just got to hang back and have fun. The planning process was smooth as well. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!! There's not enough words to describe such amazing, outstanding, talented, & dynamic musicians...Epic Soul Band.. I knew from the moment we spoke to Joe, his energy, enthusism & passion for music was apparent over the phone. 100 guests were dancing all night, enjoying a wide range of music. Responding to every request, there was no song or decade they couldn't do. They put life & spirit into every moment. Dont look anywhere else for your superstars. 4 days later, we are still getting calls & texts raving about 'our band'.. Their charisma, charm & mastery of music made our party extraordinary. Joe's professional, flexible, fun to work with; grateful we found them!!

We hired Epic Soul for a 50th Anniversary Party. Watching their videos is what attracted us to them, however, their performance in person far exceeded the videos we viewed. The band is awesome and so many people at the party wanted their information to book them for various events. The band accommodated every request and were extremely professional to deal with. Chris is a wonderful leader; and working with Joe from start to finish was stress-free and fun. He was always available and so helpful! They are such a talented band and I would HIGHLY recommend them for any function.

Epic Soul performed at our outdoor community gazebo concert, sponsored by the township. The band was easy to work with, and their performance was amazing! It was an extremely hot night on August 13th, but the attendees got up and danced because these Motown hits made ya move! Looking forward to our next event together!

Epic Soul Band was probably the best part of our wedding! It was raining and 40 degrees out on our wedding day, so our "outdoor" wedding got moved inside. Guests came in soaked and cold, but the second the band started playing, everyone started smiling. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. Even the groom's 94-year-old grandma was dancing! We got so many compliments on the music! During the whole process of postponing from last year, Joe and the band were so accommodating. They even worked with my dad to put together a surprise for the father-daughter dance. I would 100% recommend Epic Soul Band for any event!

We were absolutely blown away by the band’s performances.  At this point in our quarantine, many of us have what we are calling “Zoom fatigue.”  So before the event, some colleagues had doubts, saying “it won’t be the same” or “we are sick of Zoom.”  But the way that EpicSoul was able to somehow create the energy and excitement of a live concert for us through Zoom was nothing short of magic, and had all of the skeptics and non-believers dancing.  I personally, and many have echoed this sentiment, have not experienced such pure, unadulterated joy, since before March 2020.  Despite everything going on in the world, for one hour we were able to put aside any negativity, come together, and get out of our seats and dance. EpicSoul’s performance not only gave us a reason to celebrate, but they made us feel like we wanted to celebrate again.  It was impossible to be on that Zoom call without smiling (or dancing!).  Even the more shy colleagues among us were DANCING on screen!  The band’s energy was contagious, so contagious that shortly after the concert began, people brought along their kids, dogs, cats, and significant others to join the party.  Getting to see coworkers coming together, smiling, and laughing again – at times like these, that experience is something that I can’t put a price on.  

I wholeheartedly believe that this event would have flopped in the hands of a lesser group of musicians.  EpicSoul – performers & crew alike – worked tirelessly to ensure a logistically flawless and spectacularly fun event, and they delivered beyond expectations.  With what they were able to accomplish virtually, I can’t imagine what it would be like to get them at an event in-person!  Their musical talents, energy, and professionalism in my experience is unmatched.  It is worth noting that the band did two performances for us in one day: the first of which started at 8am (so that our colleagues in India would be able to join in the fun).  If you were able to see that performance – you would not believe that any human being would be able to have that much energy and put on such a spectacular show at that hour.

EpicSoul, I thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for all of the time, effort, energy, and dare I say, soul, that you put into our performances.  You gave us a reason to celebrate, to smile, and to dance again, and for that we are all eternally grateful.  I look forward to a time when we can all be together in-person.  Joe, you were an absolute delight to work with, thank you for taking such care to ensure our events were epic.  I cannot recommend an EpicSoul virtual event highly enough!

We found our wedding band on The Bash. The EPICSOUL Band was absolutely phenomenal! They made our special day a spectacular one! Our families and friends don't hesitate to let us know how much fun they had while dancing and listening to excellent music. Throughout our interactions they were always accommodating and easy to work with. If we had to do it all over again we would definitely go with them!

I have had the pleasure of having this New Jersey based Soul, Funk, R&B, and Pop Band, EPICSOUL, perform at several corporate events.  They are an incredibly talented group of musicians that can play all the great classic soul songs you remember plus todays current top R&B and Pop Hits. They quite literally get the participants up and dancing, yes even on zoom.  I have watched them entertain all levels with music that is reflective and inclusive of every background while maintaining an amazing sound.  I highly recommend this band for your next Corporate Event. They are a high energy band providing music for the whole family to enjoy!!!

EPICSOUL was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. They were BEYOND professional, organized, responsible, respectful, and most importantly TALENTED and LOADS OF FUN! My dad is a musician, so it was hard at first to find a band that met his expectations-until we came across EPICSOUL. They truly exceeded all of our expectations. We had multiple calls before the wedding to plan out every part of the evening with them and everything went to plan and we were blown away by their talent. Hiring Epic Soul was the BEST decision we made for our wedding. The band really delivered and brought energy to our special day. Working with Joe was great leading up to the event and they were attentive to our many special requests. The lead singer Chris learned Italian lyrics for our wedding song and the band was able to accommodate a very last minute song request. We are so pleased with our decision to hire Epic Soul and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for live entertainment. Epicsoul was the perfect band for our wedding. I had always wanted a motown and soul band and to be able to get such a quality group was amazing. Joe showed his enthusiasm to work with us from day 1 and it couldn't have been easier to plan the event. They were accommodating for song requests, were easy to contact and just created a wonderful energy for the evening. And the music!!! Top caliber stuff from every person in that band, I can't tell you how many of our guests told us this was one of the greatest wedding bands they ever heard. Epic Soul made our wedding reception dreams come true! From beginning to end, ES was professional and accommodating. During the planning process, Joe was very responsive to our needs and questions. The band was able to learn our first dance songs and cut them down to the exact time length we requested. We were also very clear about wanting NO CHEESINESS - and Epic Soul complied graciously. We had the 8 piece band and each musician was truly talented. Our dance floor was PACKED and I was left thinking.. we need a bigger dance floor.. Our family was happy with the song choices and the volume. We are still receiving compliments on the performance. THANK YOU Epic Soul!!

These guys are amazingly talented. The dance floor was packed. Communication leading up to the day was easy and comfortable. All of our friends and family were super impressed with the music all night. My father who is critical of loud music thought the volume was perfect. They were able to accommodate several special requests and were flexible to incorporate some fun surprises with our musical friends. Would highly recommend them to anyone in the tri-state area. Amazing.

If I could rate this band all 10's, I would. They made the party the success that it was. Working with Joe was a pleasure from the first phone call until the very end of the party. The band was professional in every way. The lead vocalists Killed it!!! My friends and family are still talking about the sax player who rocked the crowd! They even did a hora which got every single guest involved! I would highly recommend them for any and all events if you want a fun party with a GREAT band!

We cannot recommend this band enough! EPICSOUL lives up to their name -- they are truly epic! Joe was in contact with us in the lead up to the big day and made the planning process seamless and fun. Joe & the whole EpicSoul band were amazing to work with! We hired this band for exactly what they do: soul, Motown and funk and that's exactly what they brought! They were easy to work with, accommodating, professional, kind AND they played every song we requested them to play that night and even learned ones ahead of time for the ones they didn't know! They received more compliments from our guests than any other vendor at our wedding! We had a rock'n time! If you have it in your budget, get the extra horns for the night! We got the eight piece band they were Incredible and very personable . Joe was on it with all the songs and music we wanted to hear. He was great from the start up to the wedding day with all of our requests. The band came dressed for the occasion and gave us five hours of pure energy . There is not a song they cannot sing they had to learn Led Zeppelin's THANK YOU as our wedding song and completely nailed it . All our guests wanted to know who the band was because they thought they were sooo good! Can't say enough about them they truly made our wedding complete with their awesome sound and talent. Our guests will be talking about this for a real long time.

Look no further - this is the BEST band in the land! EpicSoul Band is a fantastic group of talented musicians who add such a special touch to your event! Could not ask for anything more from EpicSoul! Joe and Chris were extremely accommodating in the weeks leading up to our wedding, they learned our song for the first dance and brought down the house with Latin and disco songs. Their rendition of Shout as our last song was amazing, my husband and guests loved it! I would recommend EpicSoul to anyone looking to have a fabulous dance party. Epicsoul Band was the icing on our proverbial wedding cake! Every one of our 163 guests commented at least once to me during the night that they were the greatest band they had ever heard. They got the entire wedding dancing; so much so, the floor was physically shaking for the better part of 3 hours. I can't express enough how incredible this band is - outrageously talented, wonderfully professional, and extremely energetic. EpicSoul played at our April 5th wedding and they were phenomenal. My guests told me it was the best wedding band they ever heard. They kept the dance floor packed and only took one brief break during dinner when we ate. One musician stayed behind to play piano and sing. It was beautiful. They learned a score of songs that I requested for the wedding, and I appreciated that. Very talented group and strongly recommended.
